FOX aired a 60-second cartoon skit during the “FOX NFL Sunday” pre-game coverage this weekend, sponsored by Burger King, that was intended to make fun of Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys season last year. Every dig on Tony Romo however ended up being a Jessica Simpson fat joke.
Watch the video below. For some reason, this choppy version is the only one that can be found online.
Isn’t it strange that a greasy fast-food restaurant would be making fat jokes? Let’s forget for a second that Jessica Simpson isn’t even overweight to begin with and the fact that she and Tony Romo are no longer together. The joke’s aren’t effective, especially coming from a company who significantly contributes to obesity in America. Way to understand your audience, Burger King.
Despite the skit being “presented by Burger King”, they claim that FOX produced it and that they were not involved in developing the content. Regardless, their name is attached to it and it is pissing a lot of people off.
What do you think?

I’m so out of the loop. I don’t know this reference. It’s not funny. Burger King has lost big points from when they created the Dark Whopper.
Who’s Tony?
Welcome back
Tony Romo is the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys. He was dating Jessica Simpson last year. They broke up recently. Also recently, Jessica Simpson has been accused in the tabloids of gaining weight. So she is considered “fat” by Hollywood’s ridiculous size-0 standards. Do you not get pro sports or trashy magazine/tv shows in Australia
?
That’s trashy? Must be a slow year. This is our gossip, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMAyGewq37w
It will be good if Jessica Simpson has found love now with Jeremy Renner. She deserves to have a fresh guy in her life.
Jessica Simpson is complaining that she has a wrinkle! I wish I had a dollar for each one of mine
