Here is a good campaign for Pizzetta, a pizzeria in Glenwood, Durban, South Africa. You don’t see a lot of local pizza places advertising, and when they do it is very standard menu/price messaging. It is rare that they’d hire an agency and create a creative advertising campaign. But that’s what these guys did, and it’s pretty good too (the advertising, if I’m ever in Durban I’ll see if the pizza lives up to the ad).
Think twice before you take the last slice
Agency: Ogilvy, Durban, South Africa
Client: Pizzetta
Snow White and the Six Dwarfs

Romeo and Harriet

Thelma

It’s a simple concept, executed well. Famous movie posters and what would happen if one of the stars of the movie took the last slice of Pizzetta pizza. The movie just wouldn’t be the same.
Anyways, I like it.
What do you think?

Not sure I about the message – eat the last slice of pizza and you die. I don’t think I would want to try their pizza if that’s the case! Or is it because their pizza is so good you feel as if you died and gone to heaven? I think the message is a bit confusing but I like the visuals – it’s an interesting approach to the usual pizza advertising.
danvertising.com, how do you do it?
The already extensive enchantment of the Kingdom of the Zulu was further greater not too long with the launch of the modern ‘Brew Path’.
