Alright so it’s about time that we popped this blog cherry. For my first danvertising blog update, let’s talk about one of my favourite ads.
Sony Bravia – Colour Like No Other campaign

I was first shown this spot a few years ago by one of my marketing professors. Everyone in the room who had seen the ad for the first time was speechless. The focus of the message is Sony Bravia television’s have colour that is second to none. But the idea of having millions of bouncy balls bouncing through San Francisco is such a unique and creative concept. After all, the spot did win a Gold Lion in the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival in June 2006.
For me, it is the soundtrack that puts the ad over the top. The song, Heartbeats by Jose Gonzales sets the tone for the spot so beautifully. The ad could have just as easily been a music video for this song.
