Microsoft found itself in the middle of a racial controversy this week. An image on their English web site, which features a white woman, a black man and an Asian man was changed on the Polish version of the web site.
As you will see below, the Polish version used some Photoshop trickery to replace the black man with a white man. Although while they Photoshopped his head out of the image, his hand remained the same.
Microsoft – Why the switch?
Microsoft has since gone on to apologize for the mistake. Claiming that the change was not racially motivated, and the employees who worked on the image no longer work at Microsoft and that they don’t know how the image got changed.
Oh, Microsoft. Not a very good mistake, especially with the headline: “Empower your people”
